Arpita’s Ayurveda Journey
In Nov, 2013 I had an one of the kind of opportunity as an Ayurveda Practitioner to attend Dr Lad Ayurveda Institute Pune, India Gurukula program for six weeks . It was an life changing experience for me. Pune is known as “The City of Education” were I was learning in depth Ayurveda, perform clinical rotations in Dr. Lad’s Pranav Clinic in Pune and our community clinic at Vasanat Institute, Pune.
During our six week Internship with Dr Lad we learn an wide range of topics in Ayurveda including pulse and tongue diagnosis, and Marma Chikitsa (Acupressure Therapy), Herbology, different diseases pathogenesis, Agni, role of deepen the integration of Yoga and Ayurveda in working with clients privately and in group setting.
We were also introduced to a large number of Ayurvedic herbs, from many of which are not available in the U.S. for a variety of reasons, but it was amazing to watch some of the herbal formulation. At the end of the six-week training with Dr. Lad’s supervision we were encouraged to clinical diagnose, prescribe treatment from herb protocol ,marma therapy, yoga, meditation and pranayama to our clinic patients.
I am so honor and delighted to announce that in 2014 I am going back to Pune with Dr Lad to assist him in his six weeks Ayurvedic institute Gurukul Pune program!!!
